The Calgary Film Centre officially opened on May 19, 2016!

Sound Stages

Three purpose-built sound stages with acoustically sealed tilt up construction and dedicated camlocks. Sound stages make up a combined total of 50,000 square feet, each with 42' to bottom of the truss in clearspan sound stages.

Warehouse Workshops

15,000 square feet between three warehouse workshops and multi-purpose production support areas, with move-in ready level and dock loading spaces.

Anchor Tenant

William F. White International Inc. is the anchor tenant in the Calgary Film Centre

The Calgary Film Centre features 50,000 square feet of purpose-built sound stages as well as 20,000 square feet of warehouse space and an additional 15,000 square feet of multi-purpose space that includes office, workshop, and production space.

Erin O'Connor

General Manager, Calgary Film Centre

Erin O'Connor is an Arts Management professional. Prior to joining the Calgary Film Centre, Erin was the Managing Director of Contemporary Calgary Arts Society and previously, she was the Executive Director of One Yellow Rabbit and Managing Producer of the High Performance Rodeo, Calgary's International Festival of the Arts.

Patricia McLeod, Q.C.

Chair + General Counsel and Corporate Director

Patricia McLeod, Q.C., is a lawyer and corporate director with over 22 years of experience in both companies and private practice law firms. Patricia has an MBA from Queen’s University, is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional and a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors accredited directors program. She was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in January 2014 and to the Alberta Order of Excellence Council in January 2015.

Brett Ironside

Past Chair + Principal of Echo Merchant Fund, Co-Founder

Brett Ironside is a lifelong Alberta Entrepreneur with an impressive history of start-ups and turnarounds of private and public companies across a broad range of sectors. Currently, Brett is President of Pan Canadian Mortgage Corp. and founder of the Blaylock entities, he spends most of his energy evaluating, investing in, and lending to other entrepreneurs.

As President and CEO for OPUS Corporation, Hannes Kovac has been influencing the real estate development market in Calgary for over twenty years. He has earned his reputation as an industry leader overseeing the development of over twenty-five million square feet of real estate.

Douglas Macleod

Film and Television Producer

Doug MacLeod has been actively involved in the Canadian film and television industry for over thirty-five years, executive producing and producing feature films, television movies and prime time dramatic television series for domestic and international markets. Doug is a graduate of both the CTSR program at SAIT (1974) and the Communication Arts Program at Concordia University in Montreal (1976).

Mary Moran

Calgary Economic Development, President & CEO

Mary joined Calgary Economic Development in 2010 as Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Research, and has extensive leadership experience working across a number of sectors for both national and multi-national companies, including TELUS, Delta Hotels, Canadian Airlines and WARDAIR. Mary has led teams in the development of strategy, marketing, stakeholder relations and fund development.

Murray Sigler

Sport Calgary, Executive Director & CEO

Murray Sigler is currently the Executive Director & CEO of Sport Calgary, helping to grow amateur and community sport in Calgary in all its forms. Prior to joining Sport Calgary, Murray was President of Axia North America and Executive Vice President of Calgary-based Axia Net Media Corporation, the owner and operator of open access next generation fibre optic broadband networks in Canada, United States, and Europe.
